In 2016 Australia signed the Paris Agreement, pledging to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 26-28% against 2005 levels by 2030. But our domestic emissions are only part of the picture; what about the emissions from the millions of tonnes of coal we export every year? UNSW’s Dr Jeremy Moss investigates what is potentially an ethical minefield.
